The rain yesterday was awesome!! Just today we are seeing the first dandelion flowers of spring and the peonies are peeking out 👀 The Greenhouse is almost finished, props to Kei for literally housing our seedlings in her BATHROOM temporarily while we finish the build. Let's gooooo!

The dichotomy of not quite spring but almost spring when we are working our tails off preparing but we are not in production mode quite yet. We are on the precipice of our first spring rush and it's going to be wild and amazing and full of lessons and good days and hard days and longer days full of sun and rain and sky and sheep and best of all FLOWERRRRRS. The next big task is to assemble and erect the greenhouse. Wish us luck!

Happy Saturday everyone! I did this for a little while, just taking in the setting sun and smelling that fresh country air. Sometimes Darlene is a little bit sassy. It's pretty much to be expected, as she is, after all, a donkey 🫏💥 Mostly she does her job well which is keeping the sheep safe from predators like fox or the climbing numbers of coyote in the area (which we have not encountered on this property) or even a stray dog. But she also likes to do this, which seems to me like a bullying type of behavior. I think she gets bored or restless and typically only goes at it for a few minutes. I just try to make sure she's not doing any real harm to the flock. The group here have just about finished grazing this section of the pasture so tomorrow is moving day 👏 Have a great rest of the weekend folks!
